Abstract

The rice harvested area in 2022 is estimated at 338.45 thousand hectares, an increase of 20.21 thousand hectares or 6.35 percent compared to the rice harvested area in 2021 which is 318.25 thousand hectares.
Rice production in 2022 is estimated at 1.78 million tons GKG, an increase of 173.57 thousand tons GKG or 10.83 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which is around 1.60 million tons GKG.
Rice production in 2022 for the population's food consumption is estimated at around 1.01 million tons, an increase of 98.85 thousand tons or 10.83 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which amounted to 913.10 thousand tons.
